The Side Quest is your bar. It is a place for geeks and nerds to enjoy the things they love while having a few great craft beers, meads, and cocktails with friends!​​​​​​​​​​​

The Side Quest focuses on all things geek, nerd and pop culture: Movies, TV Shows, Comics, Cosplay, Gaming, and More! Trivia, Theme Nights, Game Nights, Lecture Series and Live Television Programing are common events.

What We Believe

The Side Quest is dedicated to providing a safe, harassment-free, experience for everyone, regardless of sex, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, nationality or religion. We do not tolerate harassment of guests, either in-person or online, in any form.

IS THE SIDE QUEST ALL AGES?
We are a 21+ only bar, EXCEPT for SATURDAYS from 2pm-6pm for Family Quest. This is the only time minors are allowed in the bar with adult supervision. 

CAN WE RESERVE A TABLE?

Sometimes. We will reserve a table for a party of 6 or more, before 8:30pm. Except on special event nights or trivia night (Thursday). Best way to reserve is via facebook messages or email at:

WHAT IS THE PARKING SITUATION?

There is a public metered Lakewood lot on the east side of our building. No need to feed the meter after 6:00pm or on the weekends. DO NOT park in the private apartment building lot on the west side of our building. You will be towed. Not joking. Seriously. You will be towed.

WHAT ARE THE COSPLAY RULES?
We know that cosplay is a huge part of our community but since we are a bar, different rules and laws are going to apply. You must be willing to remove your helmet or mask to be served alcohol. If your face is obscured in any manner where we cannot tell it is you on your ID, we cannot serve you. We have also decided to instate an across-the-board no weapons or large props policy. This means no weapons, both real and fake, to insure the safety of all of our guests.

HOW DO I RENT A GAME?
We have the library set up like an old school video store. The boxes will be on the shelves, but the pieces will be behind the bar. Pick your game and head to a bartender to get your pieces. It is a $1 per player and you can play as many games as you like all night.

WHY IS THERE A FEE?
This small fee is to help us grow the library as well as account for normal wear, tear, and aging of the games.

CAN WE BRING OUR OWN GAME?

Yes!

CAN I USE E-CIGS/VAPE IN THE BAR?
